Baby Quilts

This post makes it seem like I've had a lot of time to sew lately, but I had to wait to post these pictures until these quilts were given to the new moms!

3 of Jon's nieces have had or will have had a baby over the course of 6 months ...

This little one was for Genny, who is due with a girl in November.

This quilt was for Ami, who had a sweet little boy in May.

And this fun quilt (I loved the monkeys!) was for Mary, who had a sweet little boy in August.

And this quilt, was for my cousin, Meg, who is due any day! Meg picked out fabric to make bumper pads for her crib and then I went to same store to pick out that fabric to make her a matching quilt. We're excited to find out if this little one is a boy or a girl!

Jack's rec soccer season

Jack just concluded another successful season of rec soccer. He's on the 1st/2nd grade level now and he was able to play on a team with several of his friends - Marshall, Bowen (yes, he has a friend named Bowen), Caleb, Thomas & Case. He played with his usual intensity and love of the game. Great job buddy!

This boy is even intense when the coach is talking to him. He's ready to get that ball!

Fun with Cameras

Jon's brother, Tom, has a new application on his phone that can show what people would look like 100 pounds heavier. So, for your enjoyment, our sweet little angels....

And their proud parents....

Cousin Sawyer

My brother & sister-in-law (Rich & Misty) just got a brand new baby kitten and my kids couldn't be more thrilled. Recently, Rich used our garage & table saw to make some nightstands, so he'd bring little Sawyer over to play, as well as Rocco, their dog. Hannah & Kate have been in heaven and love to "babysit" them. I couldn't be more thrilled either because the kids can play with them and I don't have to do any of the work!

First Day of Preschool

Hannah are enjoying some quiet time at home and thought we'd post pictures we took of Kate just an hour ago. She has her first day of preschool today and was so excited. She'll go 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. Yay for preschool!

Discovery Gateway Children's Museum

One of the first days the bigger kids were gone all day at school, I took Kate & Hannah to the Children's Museum in Salt Lake. We hadn't ever been since they moved it to Gateway and the girls had a really good time. It's a really cute museum and it was fun for them to be able to play with things as long as they wanted.

This ball thing was probably their favorite. You could collect balls and send them up tubes that suctioned them up.

I liked this pretend fruit tree - Kate loved pretending to pick the fruit

The Beginning of Another School Year

I can't believe that another school year has already begun!! Our kids went back last Monday (August 23rd) and they have enjoyed it a lot! I was sad to see summer end because I love having them home and they play with Kate & Hannah so well, but it's also nice to have them busy and having a good time at school.

Here's to another great school year!!

My sweet 1st grader! I've missed having him home by lunch time, but he's having a great time being at school all day.

My wonderful 3rd grader!

My great 5th grader!

Watch out Longview - here come the Bowen's!!

Jack rides his bike most days and loves it!

Here's what we typically look like in the morning....Jack on his bike, Lindsey, Emily & I walking, Kate riding her "bike" and Hannah in the stroller.
