Indoor Soccer

I love Mondays!   I know, I'm crazy, but I really love them!   I usually spend the morning cleaning, so the house smells fresh and the carpets look vacumned!   I have a couple minutes before picking up Hannah at preschool, feeding the little girls lunch and then going to the store to buy icecream goodies to take to the school for a fundraiser-winner ice cream party!

I found these indoor soccer pictures.   Jack has played 2 sessions of futsal, Emily has played 2 sessions of indoor and Lindsey has played 2 or 3 sessions as well.   It certainly keeps us plenty busy in the winter.   The spring season is starting soon and I look at the calendar and am excited about it, but also dreading the super busy feeling of it.  Hannah & Kate wanted to play rec soccer, so I'll have 5 playing!

Anyway, here are some cute pictures of Lindsey.  This indoor season is always against boys.  They haven't won yet, but they score more and more goals each game.   It's such a nice group of girls!

 That #9 better watch out!

Sorry this one is blurry - but I love the intensity on her face and her willingness to shove the boys out of the way!

Quilt Projects

I like posts like this because it's proof of what I've done with my time!   Part of me loves January & February!   It's a more low-key time of the year with less school & sport activities.   So, I'm able to sew almost daily!   Here are a few things I got done....(although I probably haven't sewed for a month again already!)

This was a baby boy quilt for a teacher at Longview.   She has been our teacher rep for PTA this year and her 1st baby is due in April.   This quilt was fun, but a ton of triangles!

And this beast!!   This HUGE quilt was for my brother, Mike.  I gave him the fabric for Christmas and then made it for him afterwards.   It ended up measuring about 80x90, so it was big.

And this cute wall hanging literally took me 2 hours from start to finish.  After doing bigger projects, it's so fun to do one that is quick.

Jack's Jr. Jazz season

Wow!!!  I have really failed lately in my blogging!   PTA-busyness & just keeping up with life and the kids has taken all my time.  We pulled off an extremely worthwhile "White Ribbon Week" (which is internet safety) at Longview.   Not very many Elementary Schools do a WRW, even though the average age that children begin pornography addictions is 7!   That's the average!  So scary!   It was a ton of work, but I felt like it was something really good that we did.  Even if we help one child stay away from that addiction, it was worth it.

And, we did a Dr. Suess reading event (which I'll probably blog about because I have pictures), a huge community council fundraiser and tomorrow is National Pi Day!  Ahhh!!

Anyway, over the last couple of months, Jack has been playing Jr. Jazz and has just loved it.   Absolutely loved it!   He had a wonderful coach and Jon was able to help a little bit, so that was fun.  I remembered to take my camera to one game, so here are the pics!

This picture is fun because he's being guarded by his cute friend, Xander.  We tried to get these 2 boys on the same team, but they put them on different ones.
