Lindsey - 6th grade Shakespeare

One of the great traditions at Longview Elementary is the 6th grade performances of Shakespeare plays.   Each year, the 6th graders work extremely hard and learn all about Shakespeare and then put on several performances.

Lindsey's class did little excerpts from Hamlet, MacBeth, Taming of the Shrew & Midsummer's Night Dream.

Since she saw the plays as a 4th grader, Lindsey wanted to play the part of Kate in Taming of the Shrew.  Kate is the shrew in the story.  She worked hard and was so excited to be casted into that part.   She loved it!   And, she did such a great job at it!   I love how well the teacher casted each student - so perfect for each student!

Jon (and his mom and aunt who were in town) went and saw her for the Thursday performance (they just perform them in their classroom) and Emily & I went for the Friday performance.  For the Friday show, Lindsey also played the part of Lady MacBeth (since the student playing her was out of town).  You'd never guess that Lindsey wasn't originally casted into that role.

Great job Lindsey!  You were the best!

I love this picture of her - she's so grown up and so beautiful!

 Lindsey & Mrs. A - she's such a great teacher!
