After lunch and naps for the little kids, we took the kids to the beach. We drove about 2 miles down the road and we had a great time. Hannah, Hailey & Brooklyn were content to dig in the sand. Kate was in and out of the water. Jake tried to eat the sand. Lindsey & Emily went boogie boarding and did really well with it. Jack attempted boogie boarding, but his suit was too big and then he refused.
After a couple of hours at the beach, we headed back to the house and I made poppyseed chicken for dinner - definitely a crowd favorite.
Then, we went down to the Boardwalk. On Mondays & Tuesdays, all the rides are $1. The kids had a wonderful time riding the rides. It wasn't very crowded and it was just fun! On the way out, we let the kids pick out a new t-shirt.
Such a fun, busy day!

Just looking at these pictures makes me wish we were still there! That was such a fun trip with the Cowden's. We definitely have to do it again soon, with Mom and Dad this time.

I loved reading about your trip to Santa Cruz. It looks like you guys enjoyed it! I didn't know they did cheap rides on Mondays/Tuesdays - that is nice!
