Kate's Artwork

Kate seems to find the one pen I leave in the living room once a month and can quickly draw various pictures in a matter of 4.2 seconds. Thank goodness she is cute (tomorrow is garbage day and it's a bit tempting to sticker her and put her out on the curb), for rubbing alcohol (I only buy the 32 oz size now) and for the fact that we've given up on owning anything too nice.

don't you just wish you could do the same thing, like to a brand new white refrigerator door, with permanent marker? oh, i can just feel the smooth surface underneath that marker. if it makes you feel any better, i can no longer reverse my couch cushions (black permanent marker), and i have yet to rid my antique american flag of its relationship with a Bic pen (both thanks to Abby). I am so thrilled that this pregnancy is going so well. we are so excited to have another bowen in the family. give our love to everyone, and tell becky that my kids miss her and that they don't understand why she would drive all the way to ohio but not boston. love you. ash

Oh no! Olivia isn't to that stage yet, thank goodness. I'm glad to hear that your pregnancy is going well. You are lucky to have Becky take such good care of you guys!!

I think I might have to kill her Jeanette. Sorry.

I remember NOW, but not then, how funny all you kids were when you would do that with pens, markers or crayons. I'm glad you're taking pictures because someday they will have to deal with the same situations - our payback. Paper just isn't much fun when you've got a couch, chairs, walls, etc. I love you Kate!!!!

But her smile is just so darn cute, how do you get mad? Was the pen able to come out? I am so sorry about that but I know what is like to have a child (no names but her name rhymes with Barley!!) who gets into absolutely everything the moment my back is turned. I am sorry about the couch but I love that you are documenting it all!! ;-) Kate, we think you are adorable!

Pretend this comment was under the quilt category. I was afraid you wouldn't see it but the quilts are AMAZING!! You did such a beautiful job on both and those teachers are recipients of such amazing gifts. You really did a wonderful job on BOTH of them and I don't know how but you keep getting better and better on each quilt that you complete. Thanks for teaching me all I know too!

How do they do it! You leave them alone for one minute and you come back to artwork everywhere. Pierce and Nicolette were good at this. Fortunately, Lily and Molly never did it to that extreme.
This is why Heavenly Father made children so stinkin cute!!!!
