Upper Arlington Library fun

One of the great things about Upper Arlington is the amazing libraries!! We have enjoyed going to them for years and years while we've been here in Ohio....and they just keep getting better. For the last several months, Kate has been in a Music & Movement class and she absolutely loves it. It's a 1/2 hour class once a week and the teacher is Miss Julie. She is so great and it's definitely a highlight of the week. Miss Julie reads stories, sings songs, plays with a parachute (sometimes with huge cotton balls while we pretend it's popcorn), plays instruments, etc. The Rasmussen girls are there too, so it's even funner!

The also have character parties. We've seen Strawberry Shortcake & Max (from Max & Ruby). The kids have gone to a Bob The Builder party and a Junie B. Jones party. We've also done crafts there - usually around a holiday - and the girls even got to read to some dogs. It was called "tailwagging tutors."

The summer reading programs are phenomenal. The girl's elementary school, Greensview Elementary, won the reading contest a couple of summer's ago. The kids can all read and then get prizes along the way. Anyway, we're so grateful for these wonderful libraries and the wonderful people that work there!
