4th of July

We had a great 4th of July!! Of course, we missed my parents and we will always miss our friends in Ohio, but it was a good day! Jon had to work a day shift, but was able to be home for dinner.

I woke the kids up early and we headed to the Murray Fun Days Parade. Richard and Misty ran the 5K at the beginning of it and then joined us to watch it. It was a great parade! The kids collected a lot of candy and we were able to see a few people we knew in it. Mike & Candy were also able to come and we had a good time!

Misty running the 5K (she's in the white shirt). We were watching for Richard too, but somehow we missed him.

Hannah is so funny. She did this near the beginning of the parade when she's see either a clown or a marching band. She'd bury her face into my neck and say "home." She also did it during almost all of the fireworks that night.

After the parade, we all met at Cafe Rio for lunch (Becky & John joined us. Peter was on his way to Cedar City for the weekend). Delicious! Then I took the kids home and Mike & Candy came over. They watched the kids so that I could run to the store and then we spent the rest of the day getting ready for a BBQ.
We grilled shishkabobs and had a wonderful time together. Richard made homemade icecream and then we lit fireworks in our driveway. The Cowden's came over and it was such a great night to sit out on the lawn and be together. I am so grateful for this great land, his heritage and it's people!

We bought a ladder ball game and Becky is amazing at it!

Annie came over for dinner and taught us a really fun game that she learned at Aspen Grove family camp. It was really fun!

That was such a fun day. I love Hannah's one liners..."scary" or "home"...she is too cute!! Thanks for being the hostess once again and having us all over for a great time! Can't wait for the next 2 4th of Julys..although I did miss Mom and Dad.

just think. In two years you'll be thinking "next year mom and dad will be back celebrating with us" It goes by so fast. That's what I was thinking this year "Mom and Dad will be home celebrating with us next year". Looks like you guys had fun.
