Linking Generations

Most of our family has already heard this, but on the cover of the Ensign this month, there is a picture titled "Dedication of Russia." It's a picture of 4 men, bowing their heads in prayer. One of these men is Francis M. Lyman. He was a General Authority for the Church and in 1903, travelled to St. Petersburg & Moscow and dedicated the land for the preaching of the gospel. Unfortunately, just a few short years later, the Russian government made it impossible for LDS missionaries to share the gospel in that land.

Many, many, many years later, that land was rededicated for the preaching of the gospel by Elder Russell M. Nelson. Today, my dad (Elder Lyman's great-great grandson) begins his stewardship over the Moscow Russia Mission. Amazing!
