The longest bowling game ever!

(I'm attempting this post for the 5th time...so here it goes again). After we found out we weren't going to Oregon for Christmas, we decided to take the kids bowling. We called around and found an alley that offered a "Buy two games, get one free." We thought that sounded great, so we loaded up the kids, put bowling shoes on their feet, put the bumper pads up and started bowling. In our excited about such a great bowling deal, we hadn't considered how long it takes for a bowling ball to make it down the entire length of the alley after being lightly pushed by a 2 year old! Do they make bowling lanes longer these days? Anyway....Wow!

The kids had a great time taking turns. Sometimes they would use the ramp to send it down, or other times they would simply place the ball on the ground and give it a push. Jon and I even tried to do an entire game ourselves (only to get through 2 rounds before the kids wanted to take back over). I think we were there at least 2 hours! But, we had a great time and loved being together!

This would have been me if it had been socially appropriate!

What made it so long? It looks like Kate had had it! With binkie and blankie in hand...she has the right idea!
